Get Cartograph and MineEdit.

Using Cartograph to find dungeons;
1. Download that shit
2. Extract
3. Launch the application
4. Click on whichever world you are currently working on
5. Set it to 'Normal' mode, leave it on Day
6. Click render
7. Next to the 'Only' box, type 48. (48 is the data value for mossy cobblestone, and dungeons are the only places with this stuff)
8. Click render
9. Go to the folder in which Cartograph is in, there should be two files;
map#-normal-day
map#-normal-day-only-48
10. Open both of these in a photo editing program that allows layers (Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.Net, etc)
11. Copy/paste the ONLY-48 picture on top of the normal map, use it as a new layer, but make sure its on top
12. Find the bits that are covered with a new grey
13. Go to these places in your save and just dig straight down, bring shovels and pickaxes.
14. Be careful when you're near the dungeon, because if you don't have it set to peaceful mode, there will be like 13 mobs in there if the spawner is enemies
15. LOOT THAT SHIT! There are usually one or two small chests in there. Take what's from them and destroy the chests, you can use them for storage later.
16. The spawner is often used in farming techniques, for example making zombies spawn straight into a small reservoir so that they drown, making the shit they drop (feathers) just float into a small collection pool. Unfortunately, the spawners are ass, so you can only mine it and get it back by destroying it with a DIAMOND pickaxe.
17. You should have just about enough blocks to just look down, jump and place, jump and place, etc to get back up.

NOTE: If the dungeon is underneath the water, bring some spare gravel or sand, make a 3x3 area raise until they're all at the water level, then just dig STRAIGHT down in the center. Eventually, you should hit the dungeon, provided you know that you are directly above it.

The only way I can seem to do it is to carry like 9000 sand blocks and then just look down and place them as I jump, filling the hole I made to get there ( ._.)
